Quotas & Limits

Two independent limits apply: a flat per-IP request rate (same for everyone), and your plan's monthly credit pool (what actually varies by tier).

Per-IP rate limit

Every request (regardless of plan) is throttled per source IP — 300 requests per 60-second window by default. This protects the service from abuse; it is not your plan's usage quota. Successful responses include an x-ratelimit-limit header with the current window size.

A monthly-quota rejection returns the same 429 status with "code": "quota_exceeded" instead — check the code field to tell the two apart.

Tip: Check usage/summary in your workspace dashboard to see how close you are to your monthly credit limit before it 429s.
