How It Works
Documents, dev tools, and workspace on one platform — every capability shares the same API key and usage meter.
What your plan includes
Subscription tiers unlock feature flags and quotas — not separate products. Dev tools API is on every plan; document conversion, batch jobs, and webhooks expand as you upgrade.
- Dev tools API — format, encode, hash, JWT, EDI & image convert
- OCR text extraction from scans and image PDFs
- PDF to Markdown — AI-powered document extraction
- HTML and live URL to PDF
- Image & screenshot capture (PDF, PNG, JPEG, WEBP)
- Watermark overlay on PDFs
- True (destructive) redaction — strips content, not a visual overlay
- PDF split, merge & page manipulation
- Batch & async document jobs
- Webhooks & job completion callbacks
- Workflows — saved, multi-step pipelines triggered by API or webhook
- PDF form fill & field extraction
- Structured data extraction — tables, key-value pairs & entities
- AI document summarisation
- Document translation (50+ languages)
- LLM query over documents — RAG-powered Q&A
- Custom API domain
- SSO / SAML single sign-on
Document pipeline
Every API call follows the same three-stage pipeline: Source → Render → Output. Each stage is isolated, parallelized, and runs in a sandboxed Chromium container.
Document capabilities
Dev tools API
Available in the workspace and over REST on every tier. Use browser mode for private edits, or switch to API mode to hit production endpoints with your key.
- JSON, YAML, XML & CSV formatting
- Base64, URL & HTML encode/decode
- SHA-1, SHA-256 & SHA-512 hashing
- JWT decode & verify
- X12 & EDIFACT EDI parsing
- Image format conversion
- API tester & webhook inspector
Quick start — HTML to PDF
Convert an HTML snippet to PDF in one curl command. Replace sig_live_xxx with your API key.
# Option A — inline HTML (JSON body)
curl -X POST https://api.sigli.dev/v1/process \
-H "X-API-Key: sig_live_xxx" \
-H "X-Convert-Type: html-to-pdf" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"source": "<h1>Tax Invoice KOS/2026-27/0418</h1><p>Kaveri Office Systems Pvt. Ltd. to Nandi Hills Organics LLP</p><table><tr><td>Business laptop 14 in, i5/16 GB x 6</td><td>Rs 3,74,700.00</td></tr><tr><td>CGST 9% + SGST 9%</td><td>Rs 67,446.00</td></tr></table>",
"format": "A4",
"margin": { "top": "20mm", "bottom": "20mm" }
}' \
--output result.pdf
# Option B — upload an HTML file (multipart)
curl -X POST https://api.sigli.dev/v1/process \
-H "X-API-Key: sig_live_xxx" \
-H "X-Convert-Type: html-to-pdf" \
-F "file=@invoice.html;type=text/html" \
-F "format=A4" \
-F 'margin={"top":"20mm","bottom":"20mm"}' \
--output result.pdf
# Option C — fetch a public PDF by URL (NIST CSF 2.0, 32 pages) → Markdown
curl -X POST https://api.sigli.dev/v1/process \
-H "X-API-Key: $SIGLI_API_KEY" \
-H "X-Convert-Type: pdf-to-markdown" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"file_url": "https://nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/CSWP/NIST.CSWP.29.pdf"}' \
| jq -r .data.markdown > nist-csf-2.mdBatch processing
Queue up to 500 conversions in one job. Uses the same X-Convert-Type values and credit rules as POST /v1/process. Requires the batch feature on your plan (Pro+).
curl -X POST https://api.sigli.dev/v1/batch/submit \
-H "X-API-Key: sig_live_xxx" \
-H "X-Convert-Type: html-to-pdf" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"items": [
{ "source": "<p>One</p>" },
{ "source": "<p>Two</p>" }
]
}'
# → { "success": true, "data": { "batch_id": "...", "total_credits_estimated": 2, "poll_url": "/batch/..." } }
curl https://api.sigli.dev/v1/batch/{batch_id} \
-H "X-API-Key: sig_live_xxx"https://api.sigli.devreturn_url: true is set.
